Prepmate was created in 2024 in response to a sharp decline in surplus food available to Community Pantries across the Central Belt of Scotland.
Member Pantries reported decreasing food supplies, poorer food quality, and increasing pressure as families struggled and Pantries fought to stay open.
The Scottish Pantry Network listened directly to its members and identified the need for a sustainable, long-term solution.
